Updated tiers for college and pro football (in the US!)

Here are the updated tiers for both NCAA and the NFL after this weekend’s games – the NFL will have just four tiers, still in Roman numerals; after almost every college team’s played two games, however, we have enough cross referencing to allow us to do our first sub-dividing of the NCAA tiers, moving from four FBS tiers (six overall) in Roman numerals to nine FBS (thirteen overall) using regular, “Arabic” numerals. For comparison purposes, Roman numeral I roughly corresponds to tiers 1 and 2; II to tiers 3-4-5; III to tiers 6 and 7; IV to 8-9; V to tiers 10, 11, and part of 12; and tier VI to tiers 12 and 13.
